Bachelor trial study (Probestudium)
Bachelor students on trial study must pass 42 CP (7 of 10 modules) within the trial period.
- Legal basis: Baden-Württemberg Higher Education Act (LHG BW), Section 58(3b). The university may offer a trial period of study instead of an aptitude test or individual entrance examination.
- Duration: 2 semesters; may be extended to 4 semesters under specific conditions.
- To continue the degree: successfully complete 42 CP (7 of 10 modules) during the trial period.
- Failure = notice of rejection and de-registration according to §62(2)(3) LHG.
- A trial period of study cannot be repeated.
- Changing degree programme during the trial period is, as a rule, not possible.
